Hants County occurs as county in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia.

A county of Hants was created June 17, 1781, & consisted of the town of Windsor, Falmouth & Newport. Originally sustaining its title from either a County of Southamptonshire in England, now called Hampshire, and abbreviated to Hants, a County was established away from a portion of what experienced been Kings County. Riverside Education Centre
